Landed in Mudros last night and have gone into hospital. Am getting great food.

On hospital ship “Esmeraldos”. Nurses very nice, especially Nurse Bulman the night sister who looked after me well. Arrived in Lemnos and went on hosp ship “Assaye”. Nurse Bulman confiscated a lot of nice things and smuggled them to me. Am sorry I have to leave her ship.

J. A. Graham Egyptian Engineers refused to work this morning and the guard fired on them, killing several. Harsh treatment but perhaps necessary.

Left Anzac today in the heat of a great battle and went on Hospital ship “Formosa” suffering from a breakdown. Ship beautifully clean and well fitted up with every convenience. Left ship same night and landed in hospital at Imbros. J. A. Graham Duty 0600 to 1800.
