We are now out of the firing line and are camped at our old camp (Dueidar). On the 23rd I’m going to Alexandria for a weeks spell.
Today is the 20th October 1916. I have been in the military just two years today.
I spent a glorious week in Alexandria. Arrived at “Sidi Bishr Change of Air Camp” where thousands of other soldiers of numerous units are spelling.
Spent every morning in the surf and the afternoons and evenings in Alexandria.
Met Reg in town and we saw everything worth seeing.
Reg went away on New Years Eve (Arabic 28th October 1336).
